Our next meetup will focus more on mapping and improving OpenStreetMap by:
• helping the Humanitarian (HOT) mapping efforts
• finish uploading data collected at the Mapping party (if any)
When a disaster or political crisis happens, HOT leaps into action to map the affected area with a global network of volunteers. Disaster respondents, such as the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders, are using these detailed maps in the response to these crises.
There were recently two major earthquakes in Japan and Ecuador:

The mapping efforts have already started but there is still work to do, so bring your laptops and let’s contribute to the relief effort.
