Hiking Daytrip to Steni Forrest, Evia Island

On Sunday 1/10/2023 we’re going to explore the forest of Steni, at the foot of Mountain Dirfi, and swim in the turquoise waters of Dafni beach in Evia.
The trail of the hike is S2, with starting point the village of Steni and final destination the mountain hut of Dirfi “St.Nicholas”. From Steni, with an altitude of 450m and planetrees, sycamores and chestnut trees as main flora, we will hike till the mountain Hut, of altitude 1120m, surrounded by a fir forrest.
After a refreshing break, we will go aboard again, this time for Dafni beach. Dafni is a hidden treasure of Evia, with clear breezing waters and dense pine forrest to the coast. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to swim, walk around, relax and interact, to your preference.
Our trip will be completed to a local "taverna", with delicious local "mezedes" (=snacks). With stomachs, but mainly full souls, we will return back to Athens.

Level of difficulty: 1-2 (easy to moderate)
Duration of hiking: 3 hrs

Starting altitude: 450m

No previous experience is required to participate. This trail is suitable for beginners with basic physical condition.
