Wu (Hao) style is one of the five major Tai Chi styles in China. It was created by Wu Yuxiang (1812-1880) and derived by Li Yiyu and Hao Weizhen later on. Wu (Hao) is famous for Tai Chi theories and the compact fist movements. Wu (Hao) Style has the following features: compact postures, slow movements, precise footworks, clear distinguishing of emptiness and firmness, upright body, body dominated by the inner transition of unsustainability and sustainability and Qi, strict boundary of left and right sides and pushing out hands. This is the trial class for beginners who are interested in Tai Chi.
What:
1 hour / lesson for the trial class. We will introduce the background of Wu (Hao) Tai Chi and let you experience the training method and pace.
You will learn the basic but very essential forms of Tai Chi named From Nothing to Something (无中生有) and the Commencing Form (起势) from 49 Forms.
When:
10:00am~11:00am every Sunday
Cost:
Every member can take the trial class for FREE for ONE time.
