Vegan Society of PEACE Group Trip to a TX Farm Animal Sanctuary - Oct. 9 & 10

In honor of World Farm Animals Day 2010 and World Go Vegan Week 2010, Vegan Society of PEACE is hosting a Group Trip and Volunteer Work Day at a Texas farm animal sanctuary (https://www.vegansocietyofpeace.org/pdf/VSOPWFADSunnyDayFarmsTripSanctuaryOct2010.pdf)! The trip will take place the weekend after our Annual "Texas Veggin'-out Days" Campaign, so mark your calendars in advance!

Paws & Think AR meetup members are invited to join Vegan Society of PEACE (https://www.vegansocietyofpeace.org) volunteers and supporters as we travel to the veg-owned & operated Sunny Day Farms Animal Sanctuary (https://www.sunnydayfarms.com) in La Coste, Texas. On Saturday, October 9, we will take a tour of the sanctuary, volunteer at the farm and enjoy some great vegan meals. For those who wish to stay overnight (optional), you'll have the opportunity to revisit the farm and meet for lunch at Green Vegetarian Restaurant on Sunday, October 10. If you need information on discounted hotel rates or camping info, please contact Vegan Society of PEACE. This can be a single day or two day trip.

All ages are encouraged to attend! Also joining us on the group trip will be our friends with the San Antonio Vegetarian Society and the Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) Central & Southeast Chapters. Be sure to RSVP on the VSOP website calendar or here on the meetup, so we can plan accordingly for dinner. *Carpooling and caravans to and from the sanctuary that weekend will be coordinated by VSOP for those who RSVP. A caravan will be departing I-10 & Fry Road on October 9.

This is a great opportunity for Paws & Think AR meetup members to join us! You'll get to interact with rescued farm animals and see first-hand how a sanctuary works. It's also a great opportunity to bring non-vegetarians along to meet the animal ambassadors of the vegan movement and see why living vegan is the most peaceful, nonviolent way to live!

See you at the sanctuary!
