The Way of Mindfulness Meditation

Details
Dear Dhamma Friends,
Our guided meditation with instruction is held every Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. This meditation is designed for beginners but anyone can attend. Come and meditate with us to explore mindfulness and peacefulness. Our building is wheelchair accessible upon request. Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility or balance issues so we can make accommodations for you.
Like all our programs, the guided meditation is offered freely to the community, though donations are always appreciated.
What you to know and do:
We always begin with the bow of gratitude and respect to the Buddha, the man, and teacher who discovered this path of the practice. The bow-in is the traditional way of showing our respect and welcoming mindfulness. It does not mean you are a Buddhist to bow. Feel free to follow but it's fine if you do not wish to.
The temple is the place of worship. Please avoid wearing shorts three inches above the knees or sleeveless shirts. When you enter the temple building, you are asked to take off your shoes and leave them in the racks provided. Please turn your cell phone off or set to vibrate.
*Welcome message from the meditation leader and bow-in to the Buddha.
*Twenty minutes of sitting meditation instruction followed by 5 minutes of silent meditation.
*Ten minutes of walking meditation instruction followed by 15 minutes of walking meditation.
*Twenty minutes of silent, sitting meditation.
*Ten minutes of loving-kindness reflection by the meditation leader.
*Brief announcements and bow-out to the Buddha.
We normally sit in the traditional sitting meditation position, on the floor with cushions. We do have chairs for those who need them.
Come and join us to discover peacefulness in your own mind with the practice of being mindful. You are welcome to bring your friends.
May you be well, happy, and mindful,Arjahn Sarayut Arnanta
