Elham Valley Walk

Details

Join me on this bank holiday for a walk through the Elham Valley.

We’ll meet in the square by the church in Elham, then head north and into the hills, where we will explore the surrounding countryside. The walk takes about three hours and does involve a few inclines. We will pass through woodland and several fields, as well as country lanes. Sturdy footwear is therefore recommended.

Dogs are welcome but please note that some of the crossings involve stiles so you may need to carry your dog over. Some fields we will pass through may contain sheep and cattle so please keep your dogs on a lead for these areas. Please also note that one of the footpaths crosses a garden/field where there may be dogs on the loose.

Parking is plentiful in Elham and largely unrestricted. The number 17 bus passes through the village from both Canterbury and Folkestone directions but please check the times before setting off.

Upon our return we’ll check out one of the local pubs and if the weather is decent we can enjoy sitting outside and enjoy a well earned drink and maybe some food too!

Look forward to seeing you there!
