Once a year, the quiet Kent town of Faversham turns into a street-long beer garden. Heritage, they call it. We call it Saturday.

We’ll move through the cobbled streets like an Anthony Bourdain doc, hopping between beer tents and pubs older than most countries. Expect warm pints, brass bands, and the occasional Morris dancer sizing you up like you’ve insulted their bells. Plenty of food stalls will be on hand for when beer stops being a food group, and yes — soft drinks exist if you’re that way inclined.

Agenda:

• Start with “just one” and immediately ruin that plan
• Accidentally join a folk band for one song and then ghost them
• Get cornered by a local explaining hops like it’s state secrets
• Lose half the group to an unplanned pub crawl
• Sidestep a Morris dancing flash mob without spilling your pint
• Make the train home… or decide not to
