Please join the Relational.ai and Diffbot teams for an evening of Knowledge Graph discussion and community building. We will have a guest speaker, and following will be a chance to mingle with others in the knowledge graph space.
Speaker: Haoming Jiang Applied Scientist II at Amazon
I am an applied research scientist at Amazon Search ([A9.com](http://a9.com/)) query understanding team. Before I joined Amazon, I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology. I spent wonderful years with Prof. Tuo Zhao in the FLASH (Foundations of Learning Systems for alcHemy) research group. I received my B.S. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the School of the Gifted Young at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). My research interests are in knowledge graph, natural language processing, and machine learning. I am also dedicated to employing state-of-the-art research in billion dollar business.
Talk Summary: Multilingual Knowledge Graph Completion with Self-Supervised Adaptive Graph Alignment
Knowledge graphs (KGs) like Freebase and DBPedia are essential for various knowledge-driven applications such as question answering and commonsense reasoning. A KG contains structured and semantic information among entities and relations, where prior knowledge can be instantiated as factual triples (head entity, relation, tail entity), e.g., (Apple Inc., Founded by, Steven Jobs). As new facts are continually emerging, modern KGs are still far from being complete due to the high cost of human annotation, which spurs on the Knowledge Graph Completion (KGC) task to automatically predict missing triples to complete the knowledge graph. In this talk, we will cover some basic techniques of KGC, and discuss a recent research direction of KGC for multilingual KGs. We will also introduce our latest publication in ACL 2022 -- “Multilingual Knowledge Graph Completion with Self-Supervised Adaptive Graph Alignment”.
Our Mission Is To:
- Raise community awareness about business and industry knowledge graph use cases
- Create interactions and connections that inspire knowledge graph applications
Agenda:
- 4:30 pm: Happy Hour begins
- 5:00pm-5:30pm: Guest Speaker
- 5:30pm-6:30pm: Mingle over snacks & refreshments
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
