Pick-Up Touch Rugby

Come on out and play some 6v6 touch rugby at one of the best 'field turf' pitches in the city. This is one of three public fields in the entire city that has this type of top-notch fake grass.
These pick-up games are open to women and men of all abilities.
If you're totally new to the game, that's great! I'll give you a wee lesson beforehand. I'm a former coach and former international player (of 15s, 7s and Touch), and so you can be assured that you'll not be deceived as regards rules, strategy and tactics!
I'm a player and fan of all forms of football (first and foremost, rugby football!). And I run these games not only for my own enjoyment but to support sports programming (namely association football) in under-served NYC schools.
Accordingly, there is a small fee for this pick-up, so that I'm able to better support the association football league I run for under-served schools in NYC - check out the league here: nyisl.com (http://www.nyisl.com)
There is also a permit fee for this field, and so it's essential to charge users a fee to cover this cost.
To play in this group, you must RSVP 'yes.' You must also pay a suggested donation of at least $5 per hour of play.
If you're not going to play, there is no need to RSVP 'no.'
