A very interesting and unexpected trend has emerged in music recently - if you look at music consumption data, old music is more popular than new music.

So let's take a temporary break from talking about music technology and have a conversation about music - why do we think this trend is emerging? Does this trend indicate a larger societal point or is it simply that newer music isn't as good as older music?
