Olá a todos! In the month of September, I will be teaming up with Chef Ricardo from "Mercado Tours" presenting “Luso Nusantara”. Luso is a Late Latin prefix for Portugal/Portuguese and Nusantara refers to the Malay Archipelago.

The Portuguese were the first Europeans to arrive Melaka (Malacca) and the Spice Islands. Through annexation, trade and intermarriage with local women, they brought their culinary influences and introduced ingredients from the New World. We will present a cacophony of flavours which showcase Portuguese dishes that are similar in the Malay Archipelago to dishes that have evolved through Portuguese influences.

Dishes may include Sup Buntut (Oxtail soup), epok-epok (Pastéis de Massa Tenra), Caldu Pescador, and Ayam Lemak (Caril Frango). Dessert will be included. A glass of wine will be included and you may also bring your favourite wine. We look forward seeing you and sharing some of our stories.
