Open Shutter Evening - Exploring long exposure times!

UPDATE
There will be a fire performer present for this PUG event so booking is ESSENTIAL.
Be sure to bring your camera (and know where to find the B setting), tripod, torch or headlight and remote shutter release as we're going outside to explore the possibilities of working with your shutter open for long exposures. Whttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/2/2/e/event_89896942.jpege aim to create ghostly FX, strobing flash, mixing flash with ambient light, light trails/movement and even some light painting if we have time.
Warm clothing is a must as it may turn cold in February!
The (provisional) schedule for the evening follows:
7:00 PM start sharp with a short briefing on long exposures and the opportunity to order food and drinks for the break.
7:30 PM Fire performer demonstration - a great opportunity to experiment with differing long exposure times.
8:00 PM Ben, Ian & Chris demonstrate how o combine flash with long exposures and movement.
8:15 PM Strobing flash & movement 8:30 PM Food and drink break 9:00 PM Ghostly people, light painting with flash or large continuous lights. 9:30 PM Wrap
