This is a tutorial for anyone who is interested in learning how to develop applications for the Android and or the Iphone platform.

Following on from the seminar on the 10th March, we will work on a project. We are going to cover all the stages ... from the concept/idea to design and then development and testing and documentation. The programming concepts/vocabulary (Jargon) will be explained as the project progresses, so please bear with us. It might be confusing at the beginning, for some but it will all make sense as the project develops.

Please think of an idea for a project until then and have the environment set up for developing the application so that come 24th March, we can start working on it ... hit the ground running so to speak.

A quick recap for the people that attended on the 10th March and for any new people that want to join us, this means downloading and setting up the Java SDK, Android SDK and Eclipse. These can be found from the following sites:

Java SDK (Java SE Development kit 7u1)

Once you have these installed ... you need to visit the following link to setup Android for use within Eclipse:

Please follow the steps described in the link above

Any problems with setting this up, feel free to contact us and we'll help you accordingly.

Please note ... bring your laptops (notebooks) along with these settings in place.

The cost of the event is 10,000 won .. as stated above. Please pay on arrival.

The meeting will take place at 1pm at Cafe Pascucci in City Hall. The coffee shop is located opposite the Koreana Hotel .... next to the press center. Please Check the link at the top.

You usually would need Exit #4, but as this is closed, come out of Exit #5, turn around and walk along the path until you see Cafe Pascucci on the right (1 min walk from Exit #5).

As a courtesy of letting us use the coffee shop, please buy a coffee or a drink. They have a wonderful selection of drinks and snacks, not to mention the excellent service and welcoming staff.
