** PLEASE READ** - Thursday Meet-ups are for more advanced players ONLY (Strong BB+, generally with competitive experience).

If you are more of a beginner or are unsure where you belong, come to our Weds/Fri Meet-ups first to get a feel for the level of play. Our hosts on these days will be able to assess if you are ready for the more advanced meetups.

RULES REFRESHER:

All standard beach volleyball rules apply: No open-hand tips/dinks. Hand sets need to be clean. If you set the ball over the net intentionally, it must be perpendicular to your shoulders. Be honest, and call your own nets, lifts, double contacts, etc. We’re here to have fun, but we also want to encourage good habits.

IF YOU SIGN UP BUT CAN’T MAKE IT:

Because there is only 1 court, we try to limit attendance so players don’t spend too much time sitting. This means there is often a waitlist. So if you sign up but can’t make it, please be courteous to your fellow players and take your name off the list. Or, if you know you will be late, let us know in the comments.

WAITLISTED PLAYERS:

Players sometimes drop out last minute, so be sure to check the waitlist as close to game time as possible, as waitlisted players are frequently added as spots open up. If you have not been moved over but still want to play, we encourage you to show up 60-90 minutes late. We do our best to give everyone who comes a reasonable amount of play time, and since some players leave early while others play longer, this helps us keep the games going while preventing overcrowding.

CANCELLATION:

In the event that it is too rainy, cold, windy, or too many players drop out, we will notify players in the comment section. We will try to make the call an hour before start time. If you don’t hear anything, assume the game is still on.
