June agenda:

Using Sass with Drupal by Clint Randall
As their site (http://sass-lang.com/) states: Sass makes CSS fun again. Sass is compilable CSS, adding nested rules, variables, mixins, selector inheritance, and more, but it translates to well-formatted, standard CSS. In short, it's a way of taming the tangle that is CSS, making it easy and quick to find and change what you need. It makes CSS more like a scripting language. Clint is going to show us how to get it set up and functioning in Drupal, as well as how to use it in your day-to-day workflow. Drupal Workflow Using Git by Russell Keppner
Git is a free and open source distributed version control system, which is to say, it's a way of keeping track of your source code (in this case, Drupal) and any changes or additions you make to it. Using some kind of versioning system has long been an industry best practice, but a lot of people seem to be put off by the challenge of setting one up and using it in their daily workflow. Russell is going to give a whirlwind overview of what Git is, how it works, and how to use it for Drupal development a number of different hosting environments. (After all, it's the software used for Drupal core and contributed modules on drupal.org.) General roundtable Q & A
Bring your Drupal questions, and we'll take as many as we have time for. This is really one of the main purposes of getting together each month: so we can learn from other also using Drupal. For the time being, this event has moved to the USB building room 2630 at ASU. You can find more information at http://www.asu.edu/tour/tempe/usb.html .
