Book launch for Pamela Pavliscak's "Emotionally Intelligent Design"

Details

We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting an event at ThoughtWorks to celebrate the launch of Pamela Pavliscak's new book, "Emotionally Intelligent Design: Rethinking How We Create Products" (https://www.amazon.com/Emotionally-Intelligent-Design-Rethinking-Products-ebook/dp/B07KWGH6GB)

Pamela will do a presentation about the book (she is an incredible presenter - check out her talk at Google: https://design.google/library/video-design-emotion/). She will also go through some exercises with everyone participating and finally open it up to questions. There will be books available and Pamela has offered to sign them as well.

I can't recommend this book more, it is simply brilliant and I believe a seminal work for the future of technology. She touches on all the key areas of affective applied machine learning with examples of products, methods for working with the technologies, insights into how things have evolved and a balanced vision of what is possible and where we might want to tread lightly. If you are in technology or just interested in it or just have feelings, definitely buy and read this book.

Pamela (https://www.linkedin.com/in/pamelapavliscak/) is the Founder of Change Sciences, an insights and innovation studio, focused on emotionally intelligent design and has worked with companies ranging from Google, Virgin, IKEA, NBC Universal and more. She is also on the faculty of Pratt and is the CEO of SoundingBox, a new platform to tune in to the emotional layer of experience.

We sincerely hope you can make it and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly at rob@echobig.com.
