Criticizing "Critical Thinking"

Details

Last week we examined a few of the positives of "Critical Thinking", attempting to define it and share a few of our favorite tools. Most basically, we were viewing critical thinking as the confluence of two tracks of study: cognitive/social psychology, and informal logic/reasoning fallacies.

But this week, I would like to bring up some potential criticisms of "critical thinking", I place this in quotes for an important reason, my critiques are not so much with the general concept of thinking critically, but rather that the canons and saints of the movement which we call "Critical Thinking" aren't critical enough in their thinking.

Let's get together and do some more think.ing about critical thinking and "Critical Thinking".
