Herbalist and homesteader Amy Johnson will teach us how to identify and use some of the plant allies the late spring / early summer offer us.

For those of you who don't already know her, Amy has been a messenger for the healing plants for over eight years. Although much of her childhood was spent hiking the woods of northern Missouri, her connection with medicinal herbs began when she discovered wild rose hips on the Rosebud Reservation, where she graduated from college. Her journey blossomed from there and has lead her on many herbal explorations across the country. She has been blessed to study with several gifted healers along the way, has worked on organic and bio-dynamic vegetable farms, and completed the herbal apprenticeship program at the Herb Pharm in southern Oregon.

Amy is an intuitive herbalist who offers several services, including seasonal edible and medicinal I.D. expeditions like our walk, monthly herbal workshops, and in depth, mind-body herbal consultations. She is also a medicine-maker who believes in preserving the integrity of plant energetics by freshly processing all-natural plant based tinctures, ointments, and custom made blends. Amy and her family are hard-working, life-loving homesteaders who grow medicinal herbs and organic vegetables and share their farm with honey bees, ducks, chickens, and dairy goats.

I want all of you to be able to come to this walk and learn, so as always, if the $15 fee is a bit of a stretch for you, please email me directly at antares@everstar.com and I may be able to cover part or all of it, depending on how many people need it. Please don't be shy and ask me! :)
