Meet David Gilford from NYC - Learn how entrepreneurs are solving city issues

New York City is among the leaders in addressing the challenges cities face to become stronger, more resilient and more sustainable.

David Gilford from New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC (http://www.nycedc.com/resource/nyc-tech-city)) is visiting Copenhagen next week, and we are happy to announce that he will share his experiences at our meetup.

Among the things NYCEDC do is to assist cleantech and energy entrepreneurs with the unique challenges they face in starting and growing early-stage companies.

Of great interest to Cleanweb is also the NYC BigApps (http://www.nycedc.com/program/nyc-bigapps) app development competition that utilizes official City datasets, and serves to stimulate innovation in the information technology and media industries.

David has graciously accepted to talk a bit about whats going on with NYC Big Apps, and other cleanweb initiatives in NYC to open a dialogue about the experiences from those initiatives and which the learnings can be relevant for Copenhagen and Denmark.

It will all be very informal, but a great opportunity to hear first hand about what going on in New York from a cleanweb point of view.
