Performance Monitoring and SQL Server Internals for the Poor Man

Presented by Andy Eggers
Meet & Greet at 6:30PM Presentation at 7PM

Abstract:
We will look at how to gather performance-tuning data, review of the SQL Server Internals and where the wait stats are collected and how to use them to determine what changes can be made to increase performance.

The Why “it Depends” is always a good starting point and where to look for setup areas to check / review. We will discover where SQL Server hides its information in public. We will only be looking at the SQL Server engine and its components.
