Setting the Stage for Autonomous Vehicles

Details
Innovation in transportation has a long history here in Seattle — and its future is even brighter. That’s why we’re excited to launch The Future of Transportation | Seattle meetup. While the initial idea is to get people who are passionate about all aspects of the future of transportation together on a regular basis, our first event will focus on Setting the Stage for AVs.
Expect to get a sense for:
<>Where the AV industry really is
<>What’s real and what’s hype
<>What it takes to get a city AV-ready and the the role cities like Seattle will play
<>How key infrastructure like HD maps come into play
The conversation will be led by The Future of Transportation | Seattle Meetup organizer Ethan Sorrelgreen and our host, Rob Coneybeer of Shasta Ventures.
Ethan Sorrelgreen
Ethan is the Chief Product Officer at CARMERA, a street intelligence platform. Prior to joining CARMERA, Ethan was an engineering leader at Amazon Maps and Apple Maps, managing large teams to build and release new versions of their global map products. Before that, he was a data engineer and key force in the emergence of NextBus, a mapping startup focused on predictions for public transit systems.
