On tap for our second edition, we’re excited to host three great speakers:

Steve Marshall, Transportation Technology Partnership Manager, City of Bellevue

Bruce Agnew, Director, Cascadia Center and ACES NW Network.

Scott Kuznicki, President, Modern Traffic Consultants

Steve and Bruce will report on the work happening around autonomous vehicles in Bellevue while Scott will share infrastructure engineering thoughts as they relate to what it takes for a city to be “AV ready.”

Steve Marshall
Transportation Technology Partnership Manager
City of Bellevue

Before accepting a position as the Transportation Technology Partnership Manager at the City of Bellevue, Steve Marshall was executive director of the Center for Advanced Transportation and Energy Solutions. In the past, he has served as chief outside legal counsel to Puget Sound Power & Light while a partner at Perkins Coie. At Perkins Coie his first work was defending Boeing in aircraft crash cases. In addition to his professional work, Marshall has served on the boards of numerous civic groups. Currently he is a member and past chairman of the foundation board of the Municipal League of King County. He has served as an advisor to the Washington State Economic Development Commission and was on the Regional Transit Task Force advising King County Metro. Marshall graduated from the University of Washington magna cum laude and from Harvard Law School with honors. Having had more than 30 years of experience he frequently speaks and writes on energy and transportation issues.

Bruce Agnew
Director
Cascadia Center and ACES NW Network

Bruce Agnew has been the Policy Director of Seattle-based Discovery Institute's Cascadia Center since 1993. For six years, from 1987-93, Mr. Agnew worked for U.S. Representative John Miller as Chief of Staff for Washington state's first district. Before his work in congress, Bruce Agnew was served two terms on the Snohomish County Council and served as President of the Puget Sound Regional Council in 1985. Agnew is a former member of the Citizen Oversight Panel for Sound Transit, and is a member of the Regional Freight Mobility Roundtable. Agnew is a 1974 graduate of Stanford University, and a 1977 graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Law School. He has had many speaking opportunities regarding transportation and infrastructure concerns.

Scott O. Kuznicki, P.E., is a traffic engineer and project manager who leverages public agency and private practice experience to create engineering and policy solutions that show deference to the concerns of every stakeholder. Scott possesses a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of transportation facility planning and design, traffic operations and safety, and system management and preservation; this broad expertise is an asset to several large transportation policy and research organizations. He is an experienced technical writer, design engineer, research designer, engineering project manager, and strategic consultant in all areas of transportation system management, including traffic operations, safety, and new mobility.
