Welcome to the 30–40ish Social Group!

Let’s face it, making new friends as an adult isn’t always easy. Whether you’ve just moved to Edmonton and don’t know anyone, or you’ve lived here your entire life but are looking to expand your social circle, you’re in the right place.

The goal of this group is simple: to bring together people in their 30s and 40s to build genuine friendships, share great experiences, and maybe, as an added bonus, meet someone special along the way. That said, this is not a matchmaking group, it’s a place for like-minded people to connect and enjoy life together.

And here’s where the “ish” comes in… If you’re in your 50s but your soul is still in your 40s, you’re more than welcome here too! We’re more interested in your attitude, sense of adventure, and kindness than the exact number on your driver’s license.

As for our events, we do a little bit of everything. We explore Edmonton, discover hidden gems, enjoy great food, get outdoors, play games, go on adventures, and share plenty of laughs (okay… more than a few!). Above all else, we have fun.

Disrespect, harassment, and discrimination will not be tolerated. I simply ask that everyone treats each other with kindness, respect, and genuine friendliness.

A quick note about events: If a Meetup doesn’t receive enough interest, I may cancel it, as I believe the best experiences happen when enough people attend.

If you RSVP “Yes”, please make every effort to come. If your plans change, update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone on the waitlist has the opportunity to join. No-shows may not seem like a big deal, but they have a real impact on the success of the group and on everyone else who was looking forward to attending.
