# The 30s & 40s Club – More Than Just Another Social Group!
We're not just looking for people to hang out with. We're looking for people to share experiences, explore passions, and build genuine connections.
There are plenty of Meetup groups where the main activity is getting together at a bar for drinks. There's nothing wrong with that, but we want to offer something different.
The 30s & 40s Club is about bringing people together through shared interests, meaningful activities, and new experiences. We believe the best friendships aren't built simply by being in the same room, but by doing things together that we genuinely enjoy.
### What Makes Us Different?
Our events are built around activities and experiences, not just socializing for the sake of socializing. Some of the things we hope to explore include:

- 🎲 Games & Entertainment: Escape rooms, trivia, karaoke, board games, and other interactive group activities.
### It's About the Experience AND the People
You don't need to be an expert, an athlete, an artist, or a world traveler to belong here. All you need is curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to participate.
We want to create a community where people can introduce others to their passions, discover interests they never knew they had, and form friendships that extend beyond a single Meetup event.
Some events will be adventurous, some educational, some cultural, and others just plain fun. The common thread is that there's always something to do, experience, or discover together.
### A Social Group, Not a Singles Group
This is not a dating or singles group. While friendships and relationships may naturally develop, that is not the primary purpose of our events.
Please be respectful of your fellow attendees and understand that people are here first and foremost to enjoy activities, explore shared interests, and make friends—not to be approached as potential romantic partners.
We expect everyone to respect personal boundaries, avoid unwanted advances, and help maintain a welcoming, comfortable environment for all participants.
### Our Philosophy
We're not against grabbing a drink or enjoying a night out. We just don't want that to be the entire point of our group.
We want to build friendships around shared experiences, not build events around the hope that friendships might happen.

Join us for a fun and challenging group adventure at Center City Escape Room in downtown Philadelphia!
We'll have 60 minutes to solve puzzles, uncover secrets, crack codes, and hopefully escape before time runs out!
The best part? This is a team activity, so you don't have to be a genius to participate. Whether you're an experienced escape room enthusiast or a complete beginner, everyone can contribute something. And if we fail spectacularly, at least we'll have a good story to tell!### 🕵️ What to Expect

Center City Escape offers a variety of themed rooms, ranging from fantasy adventures to spooky mysteries. We'll select our room based on group size and availability.

Cost: Approximately $35 per person for groups of 3 or more, before any applicable fees.
Duration: Approximately 60 minutes of gameplay.

- Final room selection and payment instructions will be communicated once our group is confirmed.
