October Viewing Party

Our September meeting was a lot of fun. Many thanks to Diana once again for her well-prepared trivia game. The results are in for our ratings of Dalek. The group average was an A.

This month we will finish up the 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy's story Remembrance of the Daleks from 1988, written by Ben Aaronovitch. The story is set in 1963, and the Doctor encounters two rival factions of Daleks in a civil war.

Then we will fast forward to Series 4 of New Who and view the story Turn Left, featuring Donna Noble (a Doctor-lite episode). It shows a parallel world in which Donna had never met the Doctor, and we see the return of Rose Tyler.

Also part of the event, as always, will be the latest Doctor Who news, discussion of the episodes, and a trivia game. It will be a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts. We'll conclude with our member meeting. If you want a say in our group's plans, make sure to be there.

At this early stage in the development of our group, we need all the support we can get, so please come, and bring a buddy--anyone that you think might enjoy the show. This would be a great way to introduce someone to Doctor Who. The restaurant requires us to order food from them in exchange for providing us with a room to ourselves, so please come hungry.
