Milky Way Night Tour at Mirror Lake, Utah

We will be meeting prior to sunset at a location near Mirror Lake, Utah to talk about how to take a proper night exposure, how to focus, how to find the milky way, and etc. We will shoot the sunset and the blue hour. A shortly time later, the skies will turn dark and the milky way will come out. I have picked a day when the Milky Way can be photographed at optimum conditions for almost five hours. We will go to various locations that will allow us to try different techniques like panoramas and light painting until the morning twilight! The only prerequisites are having an adequate camera/lens/tripod.

Low Price - Great Value: This is an attractively priced workshop for the local working person, because it takes place on a Friday evening and goes until sunrise on the Saturday morning. Some charge up to $250 for a one-night workshop like this (I usually charge about $700 for a 3-night workshop.) This tour/workshop is less expensive because because I allow more people to attend at one time, I have almost no travel expenses (no overnight lodging), and I do not provide post-processing instruction.

Guaranteed Weather (well, sort of): This one-night workshop will take place on Friday, August 2nd; however, if the weather is overcast, I will reschedule for Friday, August 9th — so please keep that night open on your schedule. If August 9th is also overcast, I will still continue with the workshop, give my instruction, do a light paint demonstration, and dismiss the class part way into the night. I will also refund $45 of your fee to whoever attends that night under those non-favorable conditions.

Check Below before coming: Because there is a chance for a re-schedule to August 9th, I will post hourly weather conditions at the Mirror Lake area for Friday, August 2nd, and indicate whether the workshop is a GO or a re-schedule for August 9th.
