What Exactly is Duckpin Bowling?

If you've never heard of it, duckpin is a historic, East Coast variation of traditional bowling that is famously challenging and highly addictive. Here is how it works:

  • The Ball: The balls are tiny, light (around 3 to 4 pounds), fit right in the palm of your hand, and have no finger holes. You roll them like a skittle or a bocce ball!
  • The Pins: The pins are short, squatter, and look like stubby little ducks. Because they are small, they fly around like crazy when hit!
  • Three Chances: Strikes are notoriously tough to get in duckpin because the ball is so small. To make it fair, you get 3 rolls per frame instead of 2 to knock them all down

*The cost is roughly $22 per hour per lane (we will split lane costs evenly depending on final attendance). Cash is preferred for splitting the bill, but I have venmo/cash app so we will make it work.
