Grab your squirt guns, your Pussywillows, and your red and white attire, because the best day of the year is here!

Buffalo is Dyngus Day central – the #1 city for the historically Polish festivities held the day after Easter commemorating the end of Lent. Few cities in America have as large of a Polish population as Buffalo – and perhaps none Dyngus harder. While the city’s Broadway-Fillmore Neighborhood – also known as Polonia – has the most partying per square block, the whole county gets in on the fun these days.

Explore Buffalo’s immensely strong Polish heritage, the bars that are gathering spots on Dyngus Day and the many traditions the community shares during the Easter season. When it’s time to Dyngus, Buffalo is the place to be!

Dyngus Day has a “St.Patty’s Day” like environment when it comes to drinking, please plan accordingly.

I recommend buying a “Pussywillow Pass” for $15 at places like Tops Supermarket which gets you entrance into the Pussywillow Party Tent, as well as the shuttles around the neighborhood. You can find out more information here: https://www.dyngusday.com/blank

We’ll be meeting on the sidewalk in front of Aldi (998 Broadway) for the parade at 5 p.m. Please wear red and white! After the parade, we’ll head over to Pussywillow Park for the festivities in the tent!
