It's one of those winters! The famous ice volcano has returned at Letchworth State Park!

There is a gravy-fed fountain at the pond nearby the Glen Iris Inn that when cold enough, completely freezes over and creates a giant "volcano" out of ice. It is quite impressive to see and only happens every few winters when the temperatures drop to below zero for a few days.

We'll meet at the volcano at 11 a.m. and then can hike around a bit by the middle and upper falls. Dress appropriately. Enter the park from the Castile entrance. See you there!
