Managing data in a hybrid Hadoop & RDBMS environment

Hi all,

It has taken a while to line up a topic and speaker worthy of this prestigious group, but it has been done.

We are privileged to host Roelant Vos who is one of the foremost experts in Australia on the Data Vault data modelling methodology, and who is a recognised thought leader in its application to Big Data technologies.

So.... our speaker will explore this topic some time in October - date to be confirmed.

Roelant:" I propose zooming in on combining information across Hadoop and RDBMS environments (using Data Vault modelling techniques), the various use-cases and how you can make sure information management is still applied in all of them (with little overhead). Essentially a deeper dive in how you merge and use the various platforms in the information ecosystem and why."

This is truly a "thought leadership" subject which can equip you to speak and advise sensibly into situations where everyone seems to be taking sides in the "everything is Hadoop" argument.
