Lets get together, meet, and move forward with building mesh networks!

It is my distinct pleasure to announce the first of many LA WiFi meetups.
Verizon Digital Media Services has been generous enough to host our group and have also agreed to support us with 15 Raspberry Pi's (perfect for building a test mesh node) which will be raffled off near at the end of the meetup.
If you're a little bit hungry or thirsty enjoy the complementary beer and pizza while you introduce yourself to others in the group!
We will start out with food/drinks/networking at 7:00PM and begin a group discussion around 7:30. Once we have gotten to know each other a bit better and feel we have a good grasp on the groups goals we will segway into a discussion of some existing mesh technologies, their use cases, and some of the many challenges we will face trying to build a network at any sort of scale.
Last but not least, there will be a demo of how to use Jenkins to generate a cjdroute.conf mesh config (to help our community get started), and use the demonstration as an opportunity to give all of our members the ability to peer with each other on an overlay network.
VDMS is doing some really cool things for the internet. Ceck out their new blog, Eng.Age: eng.verizondigitalmedia.com (http://eng.verizondigitalmedia.com/) to stay connected.
