Writing Social Stories (Bounce House Part 1)

To have a more enjoyable experience at different places, it is important to let your child know ahead of time what the rules are, and how to care for sensory needs in specific situations.

In the first meetup of 2, you will receive a small booklet with a social story for your child. This will address bounce house safety, laying out expectations and rules, while addressing sensory difficulties (i.e. noise). Please email me if you would like me to include a particular issue that your child may experience at Bounce House.

How do you create social stories for everyday life to make new situations and experiences more tolerable and hopefully even enjoyable (for you and your child)? You will learn simple steps to create social stories to use for new situations or alternative behaviors.
