Return of the Funny! Comedy Show & Nerd Extravaganza

What is it- An event unlike any other, Return of the funny is an open invitation to Nerds, Geeks, Fan boys, Trekkers, Whovians, Dungeon Masters, and all Gamers to come and enjoy a night of Comedy, excitement, fun, and PRIZES!!!! From Start to finish the entire event is geared towards fans of what would be considered “NERDY” pursuits. Starting with three amazing comedians the event has all night drink specials, a custom drink menu, an 8-BIT D.J. spinning jams from old video game soundtracks, two rounds of “King of the Nerd” trivia (with prized from Planet Fun, Red Light Tobacco, Morningstar Games, and Game Stop) , And a visit from the local 501st Imperial Stormtroopers group.

Schedule of Events-

8:00 – Doors Open and we kick off the event with the KILL THE KEG drink special (new keg gets tapped and its $1 beers until the last cup is served! LAST CUP WINS $25 BAR CREDIT! “get paid to drink”)
8:30- Return of the Funny! Comedy show. Hosted by Unit Tk-421, the comedy show will cast a spell of hilarity and uncontrollable laughter on the audience. There will be a local feature comic followed by three talented comedians with nonexistent social lives.
Adam Bathe is a local comedian who has been performing for four years. He has performed all over the east coast and Gulf area and is well known for his unique brand of ridiculous humor laced with nerdy references sure to tickle the funny bone with+5 hilarity every turn.
Remi Treuer is an exciting new comic working out of Atlanta, GA. Using his flexible voice and unique outlook, Remi takes audiences across the Southeast on hilarious journeys rife with unabashed nerdism and strange ruminations on life. Remi has shared the stage with The Beards of Comedy and Junior Stopka and was recently a Finalist in the Atlanta Improv Open Call.
John-Michael Bond is originally from Chattanooga, TN and started comedy when numerous attempts to form a band failed. He's performed with Kyle Kinane, Joe Derosa, Jackie Kashian, Emo Philips, and host of his other comedy heroes.
Drawing on his punk roots, happy marriage, and awkward spiritual upbringing John-Michael's jokes have been described as "communist propaganda" and "nice riffs about love." He is a regular at the Laughing Skull Lounge and Atlanta Improv, and was a featured performer for the last two years at The Fest in Gainesville, FL.

10:00/10:30- though performing all night, J78B1Tr3Dux will be throwing down a jaw-dropping set right after the comedy show. J7 8-B1T R3DUX is a Musical Resurgence of Traditional 8-bit Gaming melodies mixed with surreal bass lines askew to visual Glitched memories of past Recollections. J7's previous VJ creation of a "Tim and Eric Dance Party" was the closing act on a David Liebe Hart concert as well as supporting shows for the comedic Andy D and infamous house parties.

11:00/11:30- Stick around for two rounds of high stakes NERD-themed Trivia, Hosted by Brad “Kowboi” Tatum. Prizes, Prizes, and MORE PRIZES will be awarded to the two teams who come out on top with small prizes being handed out all night for individual achievement. Prizes and prize packs are sponsored by Game Stop of Savannah, Planet Fun Retro Gaming on Broughton st., Morning Star Games, and Red Light Tobacco. $5 Pitchers of PBR during the game with a prizes going to the lead team at the end of every round!
