You know how to make great music — but getting it heard is the hard part. In 2025, great songs alone aren’t enough. That’s why this workshop is led by the team behind Indepenjend — a platform helping independent artists plan, promote, and grow their releases using real campaign data and tools.
Nico, Jend and Philipp Werner are independent artists and digital marketers who have built successful music careers by combining creativity with data-driven promotion. They are joined by Robin Morgan, a graduate student at Columbia University and entrepreneur who previously founded and sold the edtech platform Tutorium and co-founded the beverage brand G Spot. Together, they’ve helped artists generate over 500 million streams, sell more than 5,000 copies of their book, and launch tools like sample packs and ad campaign planners.
In this session, students and faculty will learn how to successfully launch music as independent artists — from building a release plan to running effective ad campaigns and creating sustainable momentum, all without label support.
