Feeding Tampa Bay Volunteer Event, followed by lunch at Manilla Eats

We're trying the volunteer event again, after having to cancel last Oct due to hurricanes. We'll be doing warehouse sorting and packing of food items for Feeding Tampa Bay.

Please only sign up if you can truly commit to being there.

What to Expect: Volunteers in our warehouse help inspect perishable and/or non-perishable foods for their expiration date and quality, then package those good foods into bags/boxes that will be distributed to our neighbors soon thereafter. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to this activity, however it is best suited for volunteers ages 5+ years old.
Additional Reminders:
• ALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (i.e., sneakers) for warehouse safety. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer. Appropriate attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length.
• Volunteers will be asked to fill out a Liability Waiver onsite at the shift.
• Parking will take place on the west side of our building, there will be clear signage for the parking, volunteers will enter through the main lobby and be guided to the Volunteer Lounge for check-in and orientation.
• Please arrive on time as orientation will take place no later than 10 minutes after the shift's designated start time.

It's not mandatory, but for those who are interested, after volunteering, we'll grab lunch at Manila Eats, a Filipino restaurant, 1601 S 22nd St, Tampa, FL 33605.

As usual, RSVPs close the day before the event, so please make any changes before then. No-shows will be removed from the group. This includes people who drop after RSVPs close. See you then!
