🧶 Social Makers Workshop
Details
Do you have a craft or art project you've been meaning to spend more time making? Come spend two hours on it in a social setting with other makers!
In addition to making progress on your project, we'll do a bit of a show-n-tell about what you're working on and how you got into this craft. You might also discover a new craft you'd like to try! 👀
Example types of projects you might bring:
- 🧵 Textiles & Needlework: Knitting, crocheting, macrame, embroidery, hand-sewing, mending, needle-point, cross-stitch, felting.
- 📜 Paper Arts & Crafts: Sketching, colored pencils, markers, adult coloring books, line art, scrapbooking, origami.
- 🪢 Building Crafts: Jewelry making, wire wrapping, beadwork, wood whittling, leather tooling, air dry clay modeling, LEGO builds, model kits.
- 👾 Digital Arts: Digital illustration on a tablet, photo editing on your phone, digital scrapbooking, craft project planning, pattern drafting.
Guidelines on what to bring:
- fits within two seats worth of table space (so we can be close enough to talk).
- isn't likely to leave a mess or damage the venue (no liquids or glitter).
- no strong odors or chemicals (paints, markers, glues, scents).
- doesn't require electricity.
- isn't loud enough to disrupt our socializing.
- bring a protective mat or small trash bag if applicable.
VENUE
Raining Berries has a 16-person long table inside of a glass enclosed conference room, which I have reserved for our exclusive use. They request a $10 per person minimum spend for reserving this free room. They sell drinks, smoothies, acai bowls, desserts, and sandwiches (see menu).
IMPORTANT: As usual, RSVPs close 25 hours before the event, so please make any changes before then. No-shows and cancellations after RSVPs close will be removed from this Meetup.
