**Some meetings have a private Zoom link, please DM account co-organizers for meeting links if they are not provided after you RSVP**
We are the local chapter of 350.org, a global movement to solve the climate crisis. Our current campaign focuses on calling for the state of Illinois to divest its operational budget and pension funds from fossil fuels. We are building this campaign by participating in days of action, bi-monthly working meetings, happy hours, and other fun events like movie nights, tabling at farmer's markets, book discussions, attending festivals and a whole lot more.
We are launching a Utility Accountability Campaign to hold Investor Owned Utilities (IOU's) to account for cost overruns, increasing price hikes on rate payers to pay for cost overruns and stop these companies for having ratepayers subsidize their lobbying activities before legislators and government administrators and commissioners.
We would love to have you get connected and feel empowered to work on the climate crisis! We currently have teams for Divestment, Fundraising, Communication, and Outreach.
Want to get more involved? Join our mailing list and our newsletter where we send out events, protests, announcements and news to anyone wanting to help fight the climate crisis in Chicago.
