Monthly 350NYC Meeting

Details

Dear 350NYC Members and Friends,

We are very excited to have Laura Ranzato and Drew Solomon of Clean Creatives as our guest speakers, who will talk about Clean Creatives' mission and current campaigns. Clean Creatives is a growing movement of PR and advertising professionals who want a safe climate future. This community of more than 2,000 strategists, creatives, and industry leaders, along with 1,000 independent agencies, acknowledges that fossil fuel clients threaten us all. Laura and Drew will speak about this exciting work and highlight their recent training for agency activists, "Call Out the BS: How to Speak Up & Push Back in Advertising and PR."

NEW MEMBERS: If you're new to 350NYC please join us at 6:30pm for a brief orientation to the group, learn about our working groups and some of the campaigns we are currently involved with.

350NYC (http://350nyc.org) is the the local affiliate of http://350.org , a grassroots network of volunteer-run campaigns in over 188 countries working to prevent climate chaos. Here in New York, we are working locally for a cleaner, greener, better New York City for everyone.

Why the name 350NYC (http://350nyc.org)? 350 means climate safety. To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current levels of over 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm. (More on the science of 350 (http://350.org/about/science/)). But 350 is more than a number—it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.

“To Change Everything, We Need Everyone”
Come learn about us and get involved

Looking forward to seeing you.
