Join us on zoom to hear about a promising new campaign we're launching and how to get involved. Our guest speaker will be our collaborator on the campaign, Richard Reiss, Founder and Executive Director of City Atlas, and the creator of the renowned climate game Energetic.

Energetic is a 4-6 player board game about the future of New York City, designed to give everyone the chance to see the scope of change and cooperation needed to transform the city’s energy demand and supply in time to meet goals for the Paris Agreement. City Atlas was founded to help New Yorkers and the public everywhere understand and prepare for the future, as described in the reports of the IPCC, [C40.org](http://c40.org/), and the New York City Panel on Climate Change (NPCC), and to strengthen the democratic process towards equitable responses to climate change. Our emphasis is on building public energy and climate literacy as a way to create support for a fast transition to a zero carbon world.

350NYC (http://350nyc.org) is the the local affiliate of http://350.org , a grassroots network of volunteer-run campaigns in over 188 countries working to prevent climate chaos. Here in New York, we are working locally for a cleaner, greener, better New York City for everyone.
Why the name 350NYC (http://350nyc.org)? 350 means climate safety. To preserve our planet, scientists tell us we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current levels of over 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm. (More on the science of 350 @ http://350.org/about/science/. But 350 is more than a number—it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.
