The Lowry Grand Prix Series of Chess (Columbia)

The Columbia Chess Club and the CSRA Chess Club are hosting the Lowry Grand Prix Series of Chess in memory of our good friend, Paul Lowry! This is a six tournament series that will take place every other month. Each tournament will alternate between the Columbia venue and the Augusta venue. DETAILS:

Three round swiss, Two sections: Open & U1505.
G65 +5s delay, Regular Rated only.

Round 1 10:00, Round 2 12:30 & Round 3 3:00. One bye available.

Registration 8:30-9:45 . EF $5 for CSRA & Cola club members. $10 for non
members. New or renewing club members receive free entry into first tournament.

No tournament prizes.

Series prizes will be awarded based on points at the end of the Dec tournament as
follows:

Series Prizes & Points System:

80% of entry fees will go into the prize fund.

1st = 30% of prize fund + trophy

2nd = 25%

3rd = 20%

4th = 15%

5th = 10%

Standings will be by total points regardless of section played. There are no section
prizes.
