Intro to R Programming

Intro to R Programming

Details

Data Scientist is one of the fastest growing jobs today. Companies and governments are generating data with speed and a big question is how to process all of this data. R is a free, open source tool for the purpose of data mining small data sets (but still bigger than what Microsoft Excel can handle) and is packed with tools for statisticians. Combined with RStudio (also free), R is an accessible language that can be picked up quickly. This meetup will cover the basics of R programming. I would also like to cover an advanced feature used in regression modeling. Even if your college statistics class still scares you, this will be a fun meetup and it doesn't hurt for software developers to brush up on their math skills. Now when a client asks you to analyze some data, you can reach for your knowledge of R.
