Why Arizona? The campaign is SUPER CLOSE. There are others—links@bottom—in states where the Senate races are VERY CLOSE. Arizona may be arguably one of THE very tightest—along w NV—also maybe TN, TX;
The House is more prob'ly blue; Senate's more likely red, so we must FIGHT—text!— for EVERY VOTE!

*Why TEXT—Text Out the Vote: Texing has a high engagement rate; ESPECIALLY for new voters &/ millenials/voters under 40 (the largest voting group that is the smallest % of voters, & most are ovewhelmingly Left of center=our 'base' if they vote); you can reach & interact with several hundred voters (some dedicated texters actually reach over thousands—in a day!) Canvassing/knocking doors is local+CRITICAL—has MOST impact—but hits 30-60 doors / shift—many who will not be home

*WHO is KRYSTEN SINEMA? She's 3rd most independent house member, who is running against lyinGop Martha McSally (lied about preserving pre-Existing Conditions) taking over Flake's old seat. An OUT bi woman, started as an activist, tri-athelete, would flip this red state to BLUE in Senate, & is 1 of the KEY states we could flip in Senate, which may otherwise stay red. {{McSally votes w drumpf 97% of time; voted to repeal ACA/Obamacare (see Chris Hayes & Rachel Maddow segments recently about McSally) & pre-Existing conditions, + Net Neutrality; & voted for gopTaxScam}}

STEPS:

1. Open web app. I do this while watching TV—you can open a 2nd tab & make it quite small & literally hammer out/click 'sends' one by one quickly (the sends are basic canned tweets to names provided).
2. THEN, every 30 sends or so, the application—groundbase—has a little mailbox which you click to reply to the voters you were assigned. There are some pre-filled (canned) responses, &, for any that don't fit, you type in personalized answers, generally, depending on the campaign you are texting for. {I sometimes wait until TV commercials to reply}

A typical text: "Hi VoterName. It's Me=Volunteer with AZ Democrats. Just 3 more days before Election Day. Do you have a plan to vote?"
—If they say yes: click canned answer
—If they say no: click canned answer
—If they say something else—check the canned answers, & if they don't fit & you don't know the answer check in with Slack-someone answers your q w/in usually 1-2 min

3. Then you 'code' it (click: "moved outta state/wrong#/voted/gop/Has voting plan/stop/take me off list" etc.) & click archive so it's out of your inbox.

The canned q's & a's vary by batch, sometimes by county (metro areas vs rural are slightly different)

TIME: Campaign texts 9am-9pm MST (3 hr difference then after daylight savings time falls back, it will be 2 hr difference, so noon-midnight Sat, then 11am-11pm Sun+Mon & 11am until polls close (7pm so MI time=9pm)
