8/25/23 SUMMER BONFIRE! POTLUCK! Mission Bay with 55 new friends! Dancing Music!

Musical POTLUCK PICNIC BONFIRE August 25th! Dancing music and bit of Karaoke! Mix with 55 fun friends from other Meetup groups!
**Required to RSVP here and show YOUR true face picture and real first name on your profile here, state what GOOD FOOD you bring to attend BONFIRE!**

Friday, 4 PM to 10 PM. Bring good potluck food, cases of ice cold sodas, case of water, maybe lawn games and some dry FIREWOOD!

Grab your beach chairs, nice potluck food to share and utensil for it, some ice cold sodas, a jacket in your car, and some dry firewood greatly appreciated! ( no pallets unless broken up ) BRING 2 BEACH CHAIRS!

Main courses or big entrees are best for this potluck group, bring something YOU would like to eat, so then you know it will be there. Pre-cooked food, unless you also bring a BBQ and fuel to cook your food.
Must specify something GOOD in your rsvp, you can also update it in comments here later. Some can bring cases of cold sodas?

If you need ideas, plan something YOU like or stop by Costco and pickup a party tray or their spiral turkey sandwiches, chicken tenders, etc. Or bring large fresh pizzas! Or cases of cold sodas with ice! Please bring some dry firewood logs if you possibly can!

NO ALCOHOL (or glass) is allowed on City beaches, they might sometime come around and check. They DID drive by a a couple years ago! Don't risk it.

Potluck starts about 4pm, but come as early as you can for best parking, maybe play some games or walk a few miles along beautiful Mission Bay while there.

Steve will go very early and most likely get the furthest West double picnic tables and closest fire ring. ( The Sun sets in the West, for non-scouts ) Walk the sidewalk to the North-West end and then look for us at the double picnic tables and closest fire ring nearby.
Look for our Red STAR mylar balloon hung from our orange beach umbrella, and our three lanterns on double picnic table after dark. Many of us will be around the closest fire ring later on in the evening.

Coming North on H-5 take Clairemont Dr off ramp and turn West, crossing 5 and then turn right onto E Mission Bay Dr. Go to De Anza Rd.
Coming South on H-5 you may take Balboa/Mission Bay Dr off ramp( or if very heavy traffic at Balboa ramp just continue South on 5 to Clairemont Dr turn off ), proceed straight on Mission Bay Dr thru six stoplights before taking sharp right turn from right lane just before entering 5 South again, West into N Mission Bay Dr, turn right at stop sign and go North to De Anza Rd.
IF you miss that sharp right turn and end up on H-5 South, you can still take the next off ramp Clairemont Dr and get on E Mission Bay Dr going North along there to De Anza Rd.
