Missing Maps and OpenStreetMap - come and make some maps!

Maptime Melbourne is hosting its second meetup, this time in a more convenient location and time (hopefully!)

There will be two main events happening with something for everyone from first-time mappers up to experienced GIS analysts.

If you want, you can just come along to do your own mapping and collaborate with fellow enthusiasts. This is designed as a pretty informal event and it's no problem if you want to work on your own project or can only attend for part of the two hours.

Missing Maps Mapathon

Missing Maps is a coalition of mappers and organisations to fill in gaps in the world's maps. This is a great help to humanitarian agencies, governments and other agencies, particularly in developing countries.

We will be allocated a task to work on soon. We will also be showing you how to use HOTOSM.

OpenStreetMap training

For our less experience or first-time mappers, we will also be providing some basic training for everything you need to get stuck into OpenStreetMap!

What to bring

We do not provide computers, so please bring your own laptop, tablet, etc. Wifi will be available at the venue.

Also please bring anyone along who might be interested, even if you or they can only attend part of the event.
