Scratch Programming: Elf Wrap
Details
Experience Level: Beginner
Recommended Ages: 7-12 (younger children are ok with help from an adult)
Description: In this session we'll have a little holiday fun!. We will build a Scratch game where the player must help the elf wrap all his Christmas presents as they fall from above. Don't let any unwrapped presents reach the bottom of the screen!
No prior Scratch experience is required for this course, however if you've worked in Scratch before you will probably still learn something new.
This class is recommended for both children who have never used Scratch before, and those who wish to learn about programming through a visual drag and drop style programming language that doesn't require a lot of typing.

Computer requirement: This session will be in the downstairs Auditorium. A laptop will be required for this session. If you can bring one please do. We should have a number of loaner laptops available if you cannot bring your own. If you need a loaner, please let us know by answering the questions when you register.
You are encouraged to create a Scratch account for your child on the Scratch website before the class so they can save their projects and continue to play with and work on it at home. Registration is free, and privacy is maintained: http://scratch.mit.edu/
Note: You must have registered for this class on the Meetup Site. Use the "Additional Guest" for any additional children. Parents do not require a registration. Please print and bring your ticket with you.
Capacity is limited. Without a registration you may not attend this session. If you do not make it in to the session immediately you will be placed on the waiting list.
Parents are required to remain with their child during the session. You may not "drop off" your child.
