“Stories from the Land” by Albert Dumont
Albert Dumont is a spiritual advisor, a storyteller, a poet, a human rights activist, a father, a grandfather and a member of the Algonquins of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg. Albert will present “Stories from the Land” in prose and poetry and educate through his unique storytelling skills. His books and cards will be available at the event.
"Meditative Healing" by Eric Bawden
Through the use of case studies, Eric Bawden will draw a thread through the teachings of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Hue Len and other sources. This will provide a profound journey into the connection between the conscious world around us and the world of symbols and synchronicity. This aims to leave us with a new perspective of who we are and our connection to all that surrounds us.
"Traditional Healing for the Modern Day" by Dalva Lamminmäki
The topic Dalva Lamminmäki will be delving into is Finnish folk healing and its connection to Finnish mythology and traditional folk culture. In 2013 she visited Canada twice, as a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto, Lakehead University and the Nordic Society in Ottawa. She is currently completing her 5 year long study in Finland on the topic of Folk Healing, which she will be presenting, along with examples of her research.
