Going Green for St. Patrick's Day!

Details
Slow Food Winnipeg invites you to our St. Patrick's Day Dinner Party @ the Blue Marble Lounge with CSAmanitoba.org
Did you know you can eat great food at the Winnipeg airport? Yes, it's true. And you get FREE P4 level parking too! What could be better for our first ever joint-event with CSAmanitoba? Plus, we get their whole beautiful lounge all to ourselves!!!
AND... did we tell you that Blue Marble loves to locally source all their meats, and as much of their culinary supplies as possible? They even have their own micro-green growing Urban Cultivator!
Slow Food is about Good, Clean, Fair food, so imagine the locavore and 100-mile concepts promoted through an international organization and you've got Slow Food. Learn more at www.SlowFood.com
At this event we will be featuring some of our 17 local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) producers of CSAmanitoba.org - they will help us "green-up" this event by talking about opportunities for you to support and get involved in their CSA movement. Go Locavores!
But what is and where is the Blue Marble? This restaurant and lounge opened prior to Christmas in the Grand Hotel across from the main terminal at the airport. It's an unsung hero in Winnipeg's foodie loving community of St. James. Located within the new hotel, the Blue Marble is a small plates/ tapas dining experience, but they also have pizzas, burgers and salads.
COST: Your choice of menu items. Have a look at their menu: http://www.lakeviewhotels.com/wp-content/uploads/Lunch-Dinner-Menu-Jan-22.pdf
Hope you can join us for dinner, or even drinks and appies. We will be announcing some dining specials shortly. Space is limited though, so please RSVP early to reserve your spot!
And if you're not able to join us, please consider visiting the Blue Marble on your own and/or signing up for a CSA box this Summer. Thanks!
