Kathmandu is rich in its culture, heritage, history and architecture. There are 7 UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley, out of which 4 of them are visitied in a day. On this day tour we shall cover Hindu temple, Buddhist Stupas and Durbar Square.

Itinerary for a day tour of Kathmandu world heritage sites:

9.00 AM :Pick up from hotel, then drive to SWAYAMBHU NATH STUPA (also known as Monkey Temple), where you can experience the Buddhist culture, prayers & local visitors queing for pray, monastery & Kathmandu valley view. In a clear day you can also see mountain ranges from the top of the hill. Yet, troops of monkeys playing around might be more interesting to see.

10.30 AM: Next place to visit is PATAN DURBAR SQUARE, one of the major 3 durbar Squares of Kathmandu. The drive takes about 30 minutes. Patan is also known as the city of Fine Art where you can see the art works in metal, wood & stone. You will enjoy seeing the Pagoda style temples, old palaces & beautiful cortyards in this complex. The visit of KUMARI, living goddess makes your day special.

12.30 PM: We will then drive towards to PASHUPATI NATH TEMPLE, the most renowed & important Hindu temples in the world. You can learn about Hinduism, and see the live cremation activities that helds in the bank of holy Bagmati River.

2.00 PM: You will then drive towards to BOUDDHA NATH STUPA, where you will experience the Tibetan Buddhist culture, visiting different monasteries yet the huge size of the Stupa (one of the largest stupas in the world) will fascinate you. Also you can enjoy good lunch with the spectacular Stupa at a terrace restaurant in this complex.

4.00 PM: Drive back to your hotel
