Hi Everyone, the next meeting is set! Can you all make the 24th March in London?
We have an exciting and packed agenda as follows:
I will be revealing the secret of how to UPDATE a database from your BIRT reports with a live tutorial. OK I know BIRT is a tool that is designed for getting data OUT of a database, but what if you want to create a report that shows the user all new data since the last time they ran the report? In this case, being able to update the source records may be a useful technique.
Leslie Jarrett will be opening up his Talend toolbox and giving us a look inside. Leslie has made extensive use of the open source, eclipse based Talend software and will be giving us an end users perspective to this great tool and how it can be used with BIRT for spectacular results.
Dave Good will be introducing our new regular feature, the BIRT Skills Sharing Workshop in which we will all be sharing the little, but oh so important skills that we learn along the way.
Finally we will all be taking part in preparing for the next meeting and we hope to have an exciting announcement about the forthcoming JAX London event.
We need to know numbers as soon as possible, so we know if we need to increase the size of the venue so please jump on to the Meetup site and register without delay.
