We'll be deepening our understanding of what Buddhism is and how we can change our lives by practicing the Buddha's words. We'll be using the book "Buddhism In a Nutshell, Essentials for Enlightenment" (http://www.amazon.com/Buddhism-Nutshell-Essentials-Practice-Study/dp/0972902856/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348411019&sr=8-1&keywords=buddhism+in+a+nutshell) by Lama Yeshe, Lama Zopa and Ven. Amy Miller. (It's around $18-25 on Amazon; I hope it's not too expensive for people.)

So far we've mainly concentrated on mindfulness meditation. It's the basis of Buddhist practice but Buddhism is so much more. If you want to find out the complete Buddhist path to enlightenment that combines the blessings and transformative teachings of enlightened masters then this is the place for you. (And if you're an experienced pratitioner I still encourage you to come; I've found that I've always learned new things when I was least expecting it.)

This will be a multi-week class. You can join at any time (don't be afraid!). We'll do our normal meditation session followed by teaching and discussion of a chapter in each class.
